LPC is involved in numerous missions here in Lawrenceville, Gwinnett County and around the globe.

FAMILY PROMISE OF GWINNETT COUNTY, INC.
This is a program that helps low income families find employment and housing. It is currently up and running and has already proven successful. To help defray Family Promise’s expenses, the Fundraising Committee has teamed up with VIP Savers. Through VIP, you are able to purchase one or more certificates for a variety of services and events, including a Braves package, auto services, golf, amusements, and travel. All you have to do is visit www.vipsavers.com/family promise and follow the instructions.

Mission Fair Focus: Remember that our focus for the Mission Fair this year is Family Promise of Gwinnett County, Inc. If you are involved in a group in the church such as a Sunday School class, a Bible study, or any other group that meets on a regular basis, you may want to see if your group wants to be a member of the 252 Club. To be a member, your group just has to give $252 in one year to help Family Promise. Discuss it with your group and start collecting money now. Before you know it, you will have $252 to donate in the name of your group. The blessings of your gift will touch many people. Thank you!

GWINNETT CHILDREN’S SHELTER MEALS
The Children’s Shelter serves young people from infant to 17 years of age who have been placed with them by the Gwinnett County Court system. LPC assists by supplying volunteers each month to prepare or provide a meal for the children and the workers.

HOPE CLINIC
The Hope Clinic Mission is to provide the very highest quality of medical care to those with limited or no access to healthcare and to treat each patient with the utmost respect and kindness without regard to language, national origin, or ability to pay. The Hope Clinic attempts to provide affordable, comprehensive primary care to the uninsured working poor in Gwinnett County; this includes specialty service referrals and prescription assistance when indicated. The clinic offers an acute care alternative for the working poor to reduce the health care system strain caused by Emergency Room overcrowding. LPC offers help to the clinic with donations and fundraisers.

LAWRENCEVILLE COOPERATIVE MINISTRY
The Lawrenceville Cooperative Ministry is an ecumenical organization sponsored and operated by an alliance of area churches combining the resources of our members to meet the emergency needs of people in our community. They depend upon support by area churches, individuals, and social and civic groups, and foundations. The ability to serve people in need is in proportion to the amount of support received from the community. The mission is to glorify God and demonstrate God’s love for those in crisis. The ministry seeks to preserve the clients dignity while encouraging self-responsibility and spiritual growth. They strive to create a cooperative helping relationship between area agencies and churches and to serve as a clearinghouse to screen needs and to make the most effective use of resources. They provide food and personal care items, limited emergency financial assistance for utilities and prescription drugs and counseling and mentoring for concerns related to finances, jobs, family stresses and spiritual guidance. LPC assists the co-op by providing can food on a weekly basis, financial donations, and two annual food drives to support the many needs of the area.
